We'll see how long that view holds out when - in a Jasper Carrot, Nutter on the Bus, Stylee - you realise that I'm heading to sit next to you.

Looking forward to meeting everyone tomorrow. Good luck to all the performers - although I know you don't need it!

See you there!

Break a leg, everybody (preferably someone else's)!

Have a great time. I expect a blow-by-blow account in the morning.

:)

Will post a full review later, but in brief....

Paul - The ever fabulous host, cheeky chap and wierd guy....

Dat - Had THE best gag of the night - Finding out Beardy has a girly ring !

AJ - Sending people into fits of giggles and mass hypnotism with everyone with their hands in the air...

Evanna - Well too fab for words ...

Highlights for me?
Heaps... but Mr Death's card routine, Dat's chop cup into solid barrel, A.J's lady in fits of giggles, Beardy's ring, Sitting next to Mr M and his lovely Mrs V, oh the list goes on and on....

But the bits everyone else missed was dumb and dumber aka Beardy and Jean not knowing where there hotel was at all and driving round Birmingham till half one this morning trying to find the ruddy thing !!!! I mean it chaps I own you now !!....

One thing I never thought I would be saying though is a big thank you to Chris, for the support and encouragement there.... Why are you nice in real life but a tit on the forum lol..

And thank you too to AJ ... .... and to Dat for the loan of blood !!

Anyways thats my highlights .... no doubt everyone else will have theirs .....

Always happy to give blood for a good cause

I had a great night and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I do hope that this isn't the first and last Inferno - it would be such a shame for Paul's hard work to end here

We're talking about a finger ring here folks!

I really, really enjoyed it. Intelligent magic, interesting company and a delightful location. (Though it did take a while to find Middleton Hall. With ten minutes to go I was actually looking through the windscreen of our car at the large iron gates not of Middleton Hall, the hall, but of the nearby Middleton Hall, the quarry. Looking through them thinking, "Um... did the Victorians like to hold their magic evenings in quarries?" Fortunately, my S.O., sitting beside me, rescued me from indecision. "It might be here," I said. She, quick as a flash, replied, "Don't be an idiot.")

Anyway, I'm afraid I can't post lots of photos as I didn't take lots of photos. I wanted to, but I felt awkward about littering the performers' presentations with atmos-rippling flashes and the annoying electro-beeps my camera makes when it takes a picture. So, I've only this one to show, I'm afraid.

(Sorry for the tediousness of the link above - enter the code and wait for the REGULAR DOWNLOAD to become available (45 seconds) to get to the file - but the board won't let me upload the photo directly here.)

I very much hope there's another one of these evenings. (Perhaps non-magician promotion is the key. Yesterday afternoon, someone asked me what I was doing in the evening and I told them. "Really?" he replied. "Can you send me the details? I think my parents would enjoy that." He's never expressed any interest in magic at all, nor are his parents big fans as far as I know, but 'An Evening of Victorian Magic' in charming surroundings is innately unusual and attractive. Perhaps a flyer or three outside the Aikido class at Codsall leisure centre (which is where I was at the time) or whatever would attract lay locals; the boards are fine (though, an audience of mostly magicians can't be the most desirable thing for a performer), but we're all over the world. It's possibly better to target people in the area who aren't especially magic fans over those who would love to attend, but are in Godalming or Toronto.) If there is another, I'll definitely be there.

Unless of course we knew we were at a different hotel, and we just conned you into driving us back? (Beardy's a hypnotist you know)

And its true everyone he's got a girly ring.

The fun you all missed out on was me getting fined £100 for smoking in my room. (Of course if they knew what I was smoking, it could have been a lot worse.)

Invoke not reason. In the end it is too small a deity.

You think thats bad J....

I got woken up very early this morning by the fire alarm at the hotel and everyone being told to evacuate immedialty...

The sight of everyone in their nightware (yes some of it was very little) in the car park watching two fire engines was not amusing ..... !!!

Less amusing that loosing £100? I think there's some amusement in seeing whole groups of people in their nighties.
