Hi Ice, welcome to Talk magic.

My advice, make sure your first couple of tricks are dead certs by then you will be in your flow.

start out with something self working and flashy like a bare hand silk production or appearing cane or card equivalent.
then try to make your tricks flow into each other and finish with a trick that people will remember.

you didn't say what type of show you are doing so my advice is general pm me if you want more details. :lol:

BIG HINT FOLLOWING:-
Age and Status in your Profile
To help other members form a more visual picture, it would be nice to include your age and 'magic status' as a small signoff in your profile.

We're standardising this to an additional bit of info in the Location panel in your profile... and the format is

(??A : ??S) where as the ??A = your age, and the ??S = your status, chosen from the list below...

EN = Eager Newbie
AH = Amateur Hobbyist
SH = Skilled Hobbyist
WP = Working Professional
CP = Career Professional

So, for example - your Location could be

"Kent, UK, (30:WP)", meaning you're a 30 year old working pro...

This is NOT obligatory, but may help during conversation!

Visting Professional Magicians - it would be much appreciated if you could please make yourselves known to one of the Moderators!

Greetings and welcome to the Forum! The advice above is exactly right - start with something either self working or easy peasy which will build your confidence - remember, your audience don't know what you're doing or what will happen next so don't worry about it - relax and enjoy the performance yourself. If you fluff something then just admit it - 'sorry that one didn't work but, then again, I'm a magician not a miracle worker!'

You can also try a glass or three of your favourite tipple - but not until afterwards, as a celebration!

Hi there and welcome.
Good luck for the show. Let them in on who you are - that's what makes your show different from any other magician they might have seen. It also helps them relax and enjoy the magic. Most audiences want you to succeed and entertain them, so get them to like you and they'll enjoy the stuff you do. Enjoy - looking forward to hearing how it went :)
