Need help finding something

Postby Demitri » Jan 30th, '09, 04:33

I realize this is probably not the likely place to find my answer, but this is something I've been trying to track down for ages.

http://www.atelierdesarts.com/maschere/maschere.htm

These are illustrations from the Comedia Dell'Arte. While in Venice, my wife saw these for sale in one of the small shops. They were either flat or bi-fold noted cards (can't entirely remember). As well, we saw a long sheet with all of the illustrations standing side by side.

Problem is, my wife didn't buy them, even though I told her to do so. I've been trying to find a place that sells them ever since.

So, with a desperate plea - does anyone in talkmagic-dom know where I can buy a set of note cards - or really any form of these illustrations?

Maybe here.

https://www.1st-art-gallery.com/Baron-D ... -1860.html

Or at least, illustrations from
http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commedia_dell'arte

The illustrations com from Maurice Sand's book: Masques et Bouffons
http://books.google.fr/books?id=0hxzTjh ... =titlepage
The book (first edition) may be found at a price between 600/800 euros.

Hope this helps.
