I resent that. I rollerblade(when time allows) and its just as fun and dangerous as skateboarding

As a former canadian hockey player...I will assume you mean "figure skating?"

I used to play roller hockey (ice hockey on wheels) until about 6 years ago when I broke my leg & ended up with operations & metal being involved. Never been into skating & doing tricks, it just never appealed to me whereas the hockey seemed to have a purpose.

If anyone knows of teams in the HUmber area looking for players i'd be up for digging out my skates.

i would have thought its not the sport that "makes" you gay, its the fancying of the same sex that usually does it?

I love watching ice hockey. It's even more violent than boxing.

I skate badly (and very occasionally) to try and compliment my surfing, but at 33 I do get some funny looks at the skate park - I can see it in their faces as I rock up - hey this guy is old, he must be good. And then I sorely dissapoint! I'm starting to enjoy cruising on my longboard more these days! I've never tried so hard at something for so long and still been so ****! It took me about 7 years to lean to olly!! Respect to anyone who can skate well...

I skated (the proper type with a board) solidly through my teens but unfortunately the grim reality of having to work and pay bills ended up knocking it on the head. Nowadays I reprise the experience via the medium of a yearly snowboard trip, but that's it.

And on the subject of personal sexual preference and it's correlation with your opted mode of tricky transport this old joke still makes me laugh: What's the hardest thing about taking up rollerblading? Having to tell your parents you're gay.
