Fantastic routines there, great skill that I am still trying to get to myself with just the chop cup. Whilst in the shower (For a clean, unconnected to the video, honest!), I had a sudden thought.

What if you start with the normal chop cup routine, then after a while start talking about how people think they know what's happening, that there "has" to be something to do with the cup. You then change the cup for a disposable plastic/paper cup, and continue as before.
Then suggest that people think it's the ball. The ball gets traded in for a screwed up paper ball, and continue doing the chopless chop cup routine.
Then, take away the cup, so you have your hand shielding as if it's the cup, but still with the paper ball.
To finish, say it's usual for someone to have a final large ball under the cup. But since there's no cup, there's no large object. And if there's no cup, there's no ball either, showing both hands as empty.

I feel that I should get proficient at the chop cup normally before even attempting that...

And ... just in case you don't have more information than you iknow what to do with, here's another one. This link is for Michael Armor's presentation on YouTube

I suspect it's to promote his own DVD, but it certainly isn't the Dai Veron version:

I really like the opening sequence on this routine - for information it is taught on Michael Ammar's cups and balls volume 2 DVD.
