Review on Teletext indicated it wasn't one of Woody Allen's best but still worth seeing as it contains some very sharp and funny one-liners. This is also mentioned on Magicweek TV Magic section - I've set a reminder to record it anyway!

That's why I loved his early work (Annie Hall marks the watershed for me). Lots of excellent one-liners and sight gags. Love and Death is basically set up and punch all the way through! Wonderfully silly stuff.

Our view: Woody Allen heads to London, casting Scarlett Johansson as a student haunted by the ghost of a reporter still obsessed with a murder case (Ian McShane). Hardly Allen's finest hour but the bizarre premise draws you into a gentle comedy and some sharp one-liners offer some pay-off. 3/5

Critic's view: A potent combo of zaftig and zany, and Jackman, oozing killer charm, handles the sexual high jinks in style. Somehow it works. Rolling Stone

I didn't actually find it a very good film. I kind of lost interest in it.

i enjoyed it.When a film is on late , its a good sign when i stick with it, and dont turn off and go to bed.

there seemed to be quite a lot of clasic magic around as set dressing, including some lovely posters back stage.
And i thought that Allen captured the character of the older magician quite well. at times his manner , and stance echoing that of Kreskin perfectly. :)
