I wouldn't recommend that app, I watched the video and saw through the trick straight away, so I don't think it's worth £5.99.

Also I wouldn't really recommend any iPhone magic tricks at all because people generally just don't find them that amazing although I have put a couple of ideas down in this thread.

Andrew Mayne has a pretty clever idea involving the camera, and a borrowed (American) banknote, which is free.

On the same website there are various iphone pranks as well.

I wouldn't touch them personally, but each to their own ;)

Your reality, sir, is lies and balderdash, and I'm delighted to say that I have no grasp of it whatsoever.

I finally bought it, the effect is simple, but effective !
A bonus, not in the video, spectator can inspect the radar.

so very happy !

That's a nice enough idea, but having watched the video, the method is pretty obvious. Be interesting to hear how you get on with this in the real world.

Hottrix is waiting on approval for a new application called “Magic Wallet’
Kind of like Misers Dream for your iPhone. As soon as it is approved you can find it in your iTunes app store. Hope you like it!

The problem with the trick up top is that if anybody has any idea how the iPhone's accelerometer works they'll twig it instantly. And it's not really worth £6 for an app that beeps when you tilt it.

Or indeed, if you was to hand it out to specs, as the product description suggests you can do :)

Apparently Teller has an idea for an iphone magic app, that one could actually be worth the money people charge for them :)

I am a member of many forums, I typically like to read and learn but I am only active in a few. Just too busy and there are so many wonderful forums on magic.
I won’t let another 4 years go by…
Thanks for the welcome.

I've seen this put to good use along with a liquid from newspaper routine.

hi,
I guess this is a bit of an old thread now, but I've got quite a few iPhone tricks, there are a few that aren't great at all, but two I recommend are firstly, Richard Wiseman's "Telepath" - this is a great effect, and well worth the money, you need to develop a good 'patter' and it requires a little bit of memory, but once you get it you will amaze people. I've done this trick many times, and only once did someone 'get' what was happening.
The second I recommend is "Marty's Magic Coin" - it requires you to know basic coin sleight, but it's fun, and fast to do - and can be very realistic. The thing I like is that there is a good variety of coins you can use, including American half dollar, which is very nice for palming work. You can also use many other nations currencies - most recently I did this with a 1 Euro coin.
The effect is quite convincing, and recently sound was added to make it seem even more realistic.
One of the worst unfortunately is the David Blaine "Street Magic" trick, I've had it freeze my phone dead twice while trying to perform it, plus the fact that it requires the audience to pay too much attention for the force to work, so often it doesn't come out well - and because it's on the phone, there's no easy way to get out clean.
