Single?

Yes

dreading this weekend?

Nope. This is the best weekend to be available. A little dinner, a little dancing, maybe a little tarot ...and Bob's yer auntie's live-in lover! :D

Oh listen to you, you big bunch of grumpy pusses. Just smile and if you're single, think about the money that you're saving and if you're not single then enjoy the Pinkest and Fluffiest day of the year. :D

I am looking forward to Valentine's Day! I get the whole house to myself as everyone else is going out, so that will mean that noone will see me pig a tub of Ben and Jerry's while watching a film. Score!

sorry - but valentines day is the last hiding place of the unimaginative and lazy man...

ban it...

its a ridiculous, and may i say, heavily biased towards the lady too...

if you think giving someone a card with a bear and a bloody balloon on it is the height of romance then i pity your poor other halfs...

i have a rule, we can have valentines day if im in a relationship - but it means that i automatically do not bother for the rest of the year, apart from birthdays, anniversaries and christmas....

if you want this organised "romance" then on your head be it...

otherwise, leave it alone, and let me surprise you with dainty thoughtful gifts when i wish to express my devotion to you, because i am moved to do so...

yes..i am single...

Other half gets a handmade Valentine's card, and I'll make us both a suitable cocktail (no IB, please) for the dinner, which she'll do. That's it, no pressies, no extortionate rip-off menus, no cuddly toys (or cuddly handcuffs - I think). I don't get the whole 'make a big deal out of it' thing, unless you're a card manufacturer or restaurant owner, of course.
