Criminal Records...

Postby Lenoir » Feb 23rd, '09, 22:05

Does anyone here have a criminal record? I know it's quite a personal question, but I just wondered what lovely citizens we have in the magic community!

As I've posted before, I wasn't always the best behaved boys from 13-15, and have had some unfortunate charges following me ever since.... :x

I've got a Police record - does that count ???

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

I'm in education, so I'm not allowed. I had a hell of a time getting my first police clearance. It took about six months. During this time I got phone calls from the police asking me if I was sure I was born on my date of birth. I was never really able to hold back the sarcasm during those calls. "Well officer I think I was born then, I've always been told I was, but then my memory of the events isn't too clear."

Imagine the reaction I get when I produce my applications for places and they see

Assault x 2
Carrying a concealed weapon
Resisting Arrest.

I can honestly say, it looks 400 times worse than it is. You'd be surprised what counts as what these days.

What - the actual situation was 400 times worse than it looks when written?

Flippin' 'eck, Lenoir!

Edit: I've had to quote you so your edit doesn't make me look stupid...

Damn you Farls. Edited!

I described the whole situation somewhere else, but in short, two people who, in a larger group robbed me, tried doing it again.

If carrying an orange handle stanley knife on the way back from my art college is carrying a concealed weapon, I'm 100% guilty.

:D I wonder if you could class a playing card as a concealed weapon- After all, I wouldn't want to get into a fight with Ricky jay when he was holding a deck ;)
