The irony is, they wanted to retire close to a decade ago (in 2000) and I'm beating that if it weren't for Roy's health, they'd still be going at it; they loved to work.

Words cannot describe what their shows were like. I was fortunate enough to see them when they first went to the Frontier Casino and for the first time, as the headline attraction. That show was spectacular! When they moved to the Mirage however... words simply cannot describe what that production was like; total sensory overload and that's without the magic (as in the tricks) or even the animals; the lighting, costumes an massive crew of dancers delivered the kind of spectacle that simply is not typical ANYWHERE!

I am both, proud and humbled in the fact that I was able to be part of their magic and have them involved with my own life. I doubt this world will ever again know anything even remotely close to the magnificence these two brought into life as well as the theater.

Siegfried & Roy

I am CONVINCED that they will be back!!! A piece of rope has a beginning and an end, tie the two ends together & there is no end, ok the rope was severed, but Siegfried & Roy are "Masters Of the Impossible" much of the rope has already been "Restored"................... I'm sure that there will always be that "One Last Performance".....................

I do hope so........

Roy is an Inspiration to all of us.

Best of luck to both of them.

I will NEVER forget the thrill of the show at the Mirage when I saw it, it was utterly mindblowing!

I also met Siegfried after the show, but unfortunately not Roy.

I saw the show on Friday 10th Jan 2003, by Oct the same year it was sadly all over.

It was fate that I went when I did, it was "Meant to be".........

I wanted to see them for many years.

When I was 22 years old, I turned professional with my magic, then one evening a Siegfried & Roy "Special" aired on British T.V. I was bunching up silks & producing doves, THEY were bunching up silks & producing FLAMINGOES!!! I felt like giving up, after I watched them!!! How on earth could I compete?

I dreamed of being able to see them perform live, always believing that one day I would. Then it happened, many years later I passed the local travel shop, saw a direct flight to Vegas with Virgin airlines, including a room at Circus Circus for only £450 for a week!! ($630.00 at todays rate) I went straight in & booked it. I also saw Lance Burton, Mac King, & Gladys Knight, but the best was Siegfried & Roy.................

Best Wishes

Mike
