Has anybody out there seen this effect? What do you think about it.
I have done it a few times, but the on the important one I fluffed it. (It did work later during the evening).

I haven't done this in ages, it can be a bit hit and miss due to nature of the workings. It is a good effect, guess it just depends if you want 100% effects or not

The Ellusionist card bending thingy? Definitely not worth what you pay for it!

I think it is a good effect. It is exactly as advertised. The secret is simple and very easy to do, while being very clean and visual from the spec's point of view. No real angle issues. Your acting and presentation skills are critical.

at less than US$15, the value or otherwise is up to you.

Only disappointing issue, Justin Miller who does much of the teaching on the DVD is very mediocre. Sure you'll know how to achieve the effect and the key nuances when presenting it, but a piece of wood would be more entertaining.

I give this effect 1/5 for ease to achieve the bend, you will need 4/5 acting and presentation skills.

overall I would say a solid 7/10.

Thats an unfair comment to make about Justin. Some people teach better than others. You know that the real magic is in the entertainment value of any effect. When you buy any trick you will always put your own spin on it. As an example, I turn my back to do the 'naughty' and get away with it due to the routine.

What? It's perfectly fair to review how good the teaching on a dvd is. And yes it's about the magic but unless you can follow what you have to do you won't be able to perform it!

I wasn't saying that you shouldn't judge the teaching, I was trying to say that if you can follow the workings of an effect and understand it, even tho' the teacher is not of your style, the teacher should not be judged on his teaching skills. I have never seen Justin perform, maybe someone out there has and could comment on his performance style & skill. (Probably better than mine) I would be interested to know.

if you have the effect, you know how simple it is, and how easy it is to teach the secret. As far as that part is concerned, Justin Miller... mission accomplished.

however, a better teacher (in my opinion) could have done a better job of teaching the presentation. I got more presentation advice out of Anthony Billan Co's preview than Justin Miller's boring explanation.

I am not saying someone else cant enjoy it, it's just my opinion.
