I am writing a book and need some royalty free photos which I can stick in so I don't incur any problems when published. Now here's the thing the first chapter is Cryptozoology and I want pictures to go with the descriptions and I was writing up on the Chupacabra and reliased I need a picture, obviously I can't go out and just take pics of these creatures because they may not exist, plus I don't have the time  so is there anywhere that anyone knows of that I can get pics of these. Thanks in advance.

Best guess is to have a word with Dan Baines - he'll probably have one in stock which you can photograph  !

And the single of Chupacabras is Chupacabras. :)

I use http://www.sxc.hu/ for stock imagery, and it's always been good enough for me :)

You could try approaching the owner of an image and ask if you can include it if you give proper attribution.

Cheers everyone I will look into all the options suggested, Tomo how would I go about finding a genuine owner of a picture. Sorry if these are silly questions but this is a completely new venture for me.

I'd start with an email to a site with the picture you want asking if the guy is the copyright owner. If not, ask where he got it,but remember to tell him why you're asking up front!
