Yup, the first one wasn't too bad, isasmuch as the personalities of the two victims mattered to some extent - unlike the second film, in which a bunch of faceless characters you couldn't give a toss about were lined up for a ludicrously contrived slaying.

And yes, I saw Saw's twist coming a mile off. Probably due to the fact that a movie like that could never be made without a twist, so you're left looking for the not-so-subtle setups along the way. It's a bit like when a spectator knows from the start that the card they choose is going to end up in your wallet.
