Magical Chat Up Lines...?

Postby Thaumaturge » Apr 1st, '09, 15:02

I was out yesterday having a quiet pint with my girlfriend and a few other females, when out of the blue a greasy haired oik came and sat with us, looked directly at one of my friends and told her he would like to "read her mind". He did so using a simple, fumbled b****t s****h, then proceeded to ask if he could "show her a few more tricks back at his place" in a weird 'Fonze' like way. No such luck!
Has anyone ever had any experiences like this, or have some good examples of magic/mindreading chat ups?

There aren't any!
I'm lucky that I met my girlfriend before I met magic, it could've gone a lot differently the other way round!

There are plenty of crazy people who would love you if you 'read their mind' and would happily take you home with them..

Really!??? I agree with Lady of Mystery...I don't see it myself, nor do my women friends I've spoken to, and find the whole subject quiet fascinating. I have a morbid curiosity to see if anyone can top my 'fonze' man.hehe.

It's the quickest way to a slap if anyone tried that with me.

I'm sure there are plenty of girls who would go home with you after an attempt like that. But they're also the sort of girls who would a) go home with you after two drinks, and b) are likely to give you something to visit a doctor about.

And frankly, if your aim is simply to go out and find a girl who'll "take you home", you deserve it...

I've encountered a few crazy girls who love that sort of stuff. They're normally in psychic fairs on a regular basis, have their own tarot cards and a magic crystal around their neck.

There was this one bird I knew who got conned by a guy she hypnotised. While he was under he said he had regressed to a previous life and that they were together and married. She sucked it up and thought it must be fate (oh jesus). I don't know what happened to her but anyone lying about that to get a woman must be up to no good.

Back to my point. Plenty of ladies will take you home if you perform 'mind tricks' on them. I've generally found it can go two ways. They're either completely freaked out and scared to look you in the eye or they're really intrigued and want you to go home with them. It's not bad for pulling if you keep it light hearted. That doesn't mean some greasy slease can pull using it but there are some mental birds around. Trust me.

lol, no. Just the everyday name of Gary. Apologies for any Gary's on here, unless you're the one who was in Salisbury at The Haunch about 6:30 pm yesterday!

MasterCyde, I think I know the type you mean...the ones dancing bare foot on the rocks of Stonehenge, with flowing dresses and dreadlocked armpits. I've seen it myself, hell, I was almost a male version (minus the dreads and dancing EDIT:and the flowing dresses) although wasn't into mentalism at that point. Sigh, what it was to be a spotty teenager with grand ideals.
