bet your socks

ok heres a question for any one who has Paul Harris' Art of Astonishment vol 1 -3
One of the tricks in one of those books talks about how his patter has something to do with betting for the spectator's socks. At the end I believe he goes "you can mail me your socks"
I saw this trick when I was looking through the books once but I can't remember which book it was. Can any one help me?
