Magic is the beguiling offspring of true effect and false cause, created to masquerade as an impossible whole.

110 characters including the full stop.

Grown boys,
playing with children's toys,
in formal wear,
for people who just don't care.

My definition:

Magic is those few moments of disbelief that occur between something we sense (and can't explain) and our brain coming up with a more sensible explanation.

A skillful magician uses those few moments to hit us again, and again, until our brains are left with no other conclusion other than the magician has 'magical' powers.

A suspension of disbelief reminiscent of our naive youthful days of wonderment. And stuff.
