Kurotsuke

Postby Ed Wood » Apr 9th, '09, 12:05

In one of Derren Browns live shows he performs a version of Kurotsuke (A combination of Max Mavens original and Marc Oberons version). Anyone know which show it was he performed it on?
For those who don't know Kurotsuke is the effect in which spectators take balls out of a bag, four white one black, and the performer can tell who has which ball usually by doing a human lie detector test.
Cheers, Ed

I think he used the expensive ( and possibly french) version that Alakazam sell. :)

Its nice. out of my league though.

I seem to recall that he did it on something wicked.

though it may of been the gathering.

I found some lovely little stones for Kurotsuke, they were perfect - nice and small, natural yet strongly coloured. I appear to have lost them :(

I think with all the different methods available, Max Maven's is still my favourite. Very pure, and you can do it with smarties if you had to.

Thanks people. Just doing a write up of the effect and wanted to refer to Derren's handling.

Thanks, Jobasha. I'm hoping it might be in one of his books, too.
