:)

I'm merely pointing out that these are all things that were, in the past, things which people craved, wanted, bought.

Yeah, I suppose the Pornography mention was harsh - but I read some pretty disturbing stuff the other day about people being exploited for the benefit of feeding the needs of the internet porn industry.

It's a sick world.

Ooooh... I feel a bit of self-glorification coming on...

Unfortunately, aside from the fact that I'd need my own mechanic on-tap, I don't think I'd get it over the cattle grids round here ;(

Nice to dream, though!

In response (and back on topic) to the 'Brad Christian' thumbs-ups, I have also to agree. I'm not a fan - but he's skilled, and he gets the point across. What more do you need.

Plus, one other thing is that he's enthusiastic - something which I find is always good about a teacher.

He certainly is a good teacher, though there is an issue with the renaming of effects which coule lead to poeple buying the same thing twice unwittingly. I have only ever bought one product from ellusionist and was pleased with it, though I would have liked to have known who invented some of the moves used.

Blimey :)
I have to agree he is a good teacher and he even names the guys that invented the moves these days.
Brad produces stuff for people that really don't know much if anything, if you start at his first video and work your way through he starts from how to hold a deck through OOTW to the AC routine, not earth-moving stuff possibly, but to a new guy this IS earth-moving.

I have to have respect for the guy as he has enough skills to be able to do what he does and do it well. Yes it costs a lot, they all do, for the reasons mentioned in this thread.
There is also an issue with the renaming, maybe, but all the effects are decribed on the site so there is no dishonesty, just some clever marketing, something we can't escape much these days.

I think the most important thing is this, if you were in his position, would you turn the money down for the chance to do a 9-5 job, come home and do your magic video stuff in your spare time for free, pay for the DVD production, web space, web design and postage yourself, just so you didn't have people saying .con?
I would take the money every time.
So would the starter of this thread, he would also get very upset when he found a fileshare club not only spreading his work around free but then making a hobby out of sitting in a circle and talking about why he is a joke.

If you don't like it, the way to say so is do a review and say why you don't like it, giving us the chance to form our own view.
I am afraid that the view givien in the first post was always going to hit nerves here, we have pros and people creating some very good magic that they do indeed give away for free.
This board respects that, we wouldn't then spread that around the net and tell everyone it's rubbish. Neither would we want to join in when this is done about others.

Anyway, I shall now get back off my box :)

Actually, if it wasn't for the voiceover- and if there were some upbeat psychadelic special effects and a nice funky soundtrack, that would have been SO much better

O H M Y G O D ! ! ! !

You received the RRTCM in pdf for FREE ???!!!

I paid £8.99 for my hard copy of the book, not inc P&P.

£8.99 could have got me stripper AND svengali bike decks.

I wish I was 14, mouthy and terrible at punctuation...
