Just dug up my first ever stage gig...

Postby Beardy » Apr 28th, '09, 23:03

I got asked to do a small 5 minute spot on stage at a talent show whilst the judges were judging the entrants, so they could end on a high

I agreed...little did they know that I had never, ever done any stage stuff in my entire magical career, so had to put something together from scratch. I had a week to do it.

I grabbed my beautiful assistant (one of my close friends), we brainstormed for a few hours, came up with a plotline, some music, ordered the few props it would need, and had a good laugh.

All in all, not bad for a weeks work, and first ever time on stage!

Well...I don't think so

(God....this was aggggeeeesss ago! Back when I was still at school!)

The middle was very, very weak I know. And the audience reaction reflected that. The start and end was well received, however.

Just to clarify, the paper that was ripped up at the beginning and end was actually in the shape of a big heart, which cannot be seen on the camera.

Hence the "aawwwwwws" and "boo"

Love

I've been sick in my mouth

Not a comment on the effects themselves(which were pretty good) but all the dancing and overly romantic sentiments is far too much for my constitution.
Well done for getting up there though
