Troy Hooser's Total Destruction DVDs (2 & 3)

Postby Dar_Kwan » Mar 23rd, '04, 09:52

About a week & a half ago, a friend of mine was kind enough to lend me volumes 2 & 3 of the Troy Hooser Total Destruction DVD set.

These are available seperately from Emagicticks @ £29.95 each

The 2 volumes I viewed contained the following :-
Volume Two
    * Touch of Brass - 3 coins appear & then "dissaper" & change into 3 , other coins; Chinese in this case
    * Color Changing Deck - exactly that
    * Redirected Coins Across - An excelent coins across routine
    * Coin-Fusion - 3 coins change to 3 Chinese coins
    * Ultimate Illogical Cut (Sybil) - an 8 packet false cut invented by
    Mr Hooser
    * Slipstream - a usefull cull that will allow you to move the card to any
    possition in the deck above where the card was.
    * Double Decker Plus - deck not only changes colour, but the selected card
    changes to an entirely different card brand with a
    Huge X on the back
    * Dexterous Ditch - used in coin fusion
    * Sponge Ball Bonus - Usefull adaption of a TT & a gr8 sponge ball routine
Volume Three
    * Squeeze Away - closest thing to real magic, 3 coins visibly vanish into
    thin air
    * 3 Fly Simplified - easy 3fly routine - took me 30min to learn
    * Bogus Torn & Restored Card - Torn & restored using blank cards that
    spec draws a pic on
    * Troy’s Triumph - say no more
    * Coins Through Table - speaks for its self
    * Troy This One - Intregueing coin trick where coins vanish & appear from
    impossible places(behind his knee; ear & watch)
    * Cool as Ace - very impressive 4 ace production
    * Garrett Cut - visualy impressive false cut used in Cool as Ace

Each DVD is divided into 2 sections - Performance & Explanation; the performances are for 2 vary pretty girls & the explanations are just Mr Hooser & the Camera

Mr Hoosers teaching style seems a little stiff at 1st, like he's uncomfortable infront of the camera, but he explains everything clearly & is easy to understand. His usage of the Flipper & Expanded coins are ingenious to say the least (yet 2 more items to add to my growing Wish list :x )

I'd have to rate these 10/10 if for no other reason (but there are many other reasons) than Mr Hooser has done something that no one else has been able to; ie get me interested in coin tricks :)
