Phone Died

Postby russpie » Jun 1st, '09, 20:07

So I went to the Lake District for the first time last week. After climbing what I consider to be a mountain & reaching into my pocket to take a photo to text to my girlfriend I found that none of the buttons on my Nokia 6500s seemed to be working. Now it looks like i'll have to post it off to be mended for a minimum charge of £35.

I usually give my mum or dad my old phones after the contract has ended so I'm now using an old 3330 which is not only black & white with no camera, it's also missing all my classic tv theme tune ringtones.

If anyone knows of a decent repair place etc please let me know, the 3330 is almost retro it's so old. My contract is up in Sept & with what sounds like a new iphone on the way I'm going to treat myself but my mother has her eye on the one which needs mending so i'd like to get it sorted.

Any help is, as always, greatly appreciated.

Go to any local mobile repair store with the nokia logo on its front. They'll look at it for free, and will fix it for the cost of the parts (if it's a "something's come loose inside" job, it'll be a free repair). It doesn't matter if it's in warranty or not

Good thinking, I was googling for a specialist Nokia approved shop but might as well try one closer to home. Just found one half hour walk away & i've got a day off tomorrow. Will let youknow how it goes.

Took it to a place nearby who replaced part of the middle which was causing the problem for £25. Thanks again.
