Terminator Salvation

Well it was OK. Obviously not in the same league as "The Terminator" or "T2" as they are two of the greatest films ever made. Maybe about as good as T3, although a very different type of film. Basically it's a war film and the characters have little to do but shout/run/shoot. But any film that includes multiple appearances by the A10 Warthog (surely the coolest plane of all time) is OK with me.

Ah, that's a bit of a shame though... I was hoping what with Mr. Bale and what looked like a different take on the Terminator franchise (i.e. more towards The Matrix and potentially Bladerunner) it was going to be streets ahead of the old "I know, let's make Terminator a girl with blow-up boobs" approach

I think Terminator is a tremendous movie, but T2 dated very badly, very quickly - a bit like Cameron's Aliens.

And I like to pretend that Terminator 3 never happened.

I've only seen a few episodes of the TV show, but I think Summer Glau is an inspired choice as a terminator.

I'll reserve my judgement on the new movie. The public and press were against it before anyone had glimpsed a single frame. There's a place for popcorn movies as well as cultural schtick in my book. So long as it does what it says on the tin.

That film was an embarrassment and all involved in it should be terminated.

I haven't seen the new terminator movie but from the second it was greenlighted there was one word spoken that meant I knew it was likely to be utter bobbins. That word was "Mc.G"
