Your best bet is to read the rules and search for the most effective method of taking part.
Example:
Coca Cola did something where you submit a code from their bottles and for that minute you were in a draw to win one of 30 free itunes songs, and for that hour you were in the draw to win an 80GB iPod. Based on the rules...
1. The easiest source of labels happened to be my local gaming center that I am on stupidly good terms with. I asked them to collect labels from bottles left around on the desks. They got a good collection, 20-30 a day.
2. Coke had to abide by the No Purchase Necessary rule. This time, they decided that instead of asking people to send a letter in for 1 code, they allowed people to ask at the customer service desk at supermarkets for a free scratchcard with a code on it. A friend works with Asda and walked away with a carrier bag of them. Still within the rules.
3. You could text in codes, but this would be costly if you have tons. It also took a long time. Coke did set up a website where you can enter codes, and at one point I was entering 3 codes a minute. Combined with the sheer number of codes and some friends prepping the next code to enter in for an hour...
4. Coke were holding draws once a minute for one of 30 songs, and once an hour for the iPod. This was every hour, so the best time would be at very late at night, or very early in the morning. 2-4am.
In the end, I won over 300 songs for a few days work, along with 2 iPods (One was sold for £130, fairly nice profit), and helped 2 others get iPods as well.
Study the rules and work out an effective plan...
