Postby Magic Bird » Jul 3rd, '09, 11:59

The "female David Blaine" and World Teen Magician Krystyn Lambert goes out on the streets of LA performing some crazy stunts!
LA Muscle TV's Hollywood Extra was there to catch the action. Check out this cool and unusual show with gorgeous and funny Krystyn.

i couldnt be arsed watching more than 5 minutes, but good luck to her...she seems slightly theatrical and staged in her mannerisms - i hope she does well...

not especially my cup of tea - but its good to see someone going for it...

she's slim, blonde, pretty in the normal sense...she's bound to do well... :D

I knew I was going wrong somewhere.

I agree with Iain here. As a 30-something bloke I find all teenagers incredibly irritating, especially confident and ambitious ones.

But its just me being grumpy (the hot weather)

I'm sure she'll go quite far (well she already has) and I wish her every success...just dont make me watch it again as my last remaining tufts of hair on my head will wilt and die.

She's really not very good though, is she? The patter is awkward and irritating and her handling is just... well... a long way below average. She looks like someone who's just been shown a few self-workers an hour before filming and has previously never touched a deck of cards. I don't think any of those fellas were too bothered about the tricks, though...

Fair play to her though, for getting out there in the real world and giving it a go, and not just lurking on magic forums, TALKING about going out there and doing it! :D

Good Luck to her!

I was going to write, "That was horrific," but then I read Taffy's response and I agree - she's 'doing' rather than 'talking'. Good for her. Not to my taste, though.

It was a bit too ellusionist for me. I find it all a bit overpowering and in your face when presented like this. Not my cuppa.

don't get me wrong, she's hardly chan canasta...

hmmmmm female canasta....

however, she's obviously got enough ambition to get herself out there and make the effort...

I can't tell whether it's the style of the program itself or her presentation but the entire thing just doesn't quite sit right with me.

It's a shame that the majority of the effects on the video are basically packet effects or gaff effects - I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with packets/gaffs/self workers but when she makes speeches about 'Shakespeare' , 'Descartes' and 'Carroll' being 'infused into [her] scripts' it seems a little cheap.

The coin transportation at around 12 minutes is quite nice, I imagine though that only the very dedicated will get this far in the video before becoming bored by the long spiels rarely punctuated by a brief bit of magic.

Good luck to her, but this one's not for me sadly.

I have a great deal of respect for Ms. Lambert. She's refreshingly articulate, entertaining, and really know how to PERFORM. So what if her technical ability isn't as good as others?
