Mindlessly browsing for stuff I can't possibly afford, namely "Absolute Magic". Amazon Marketplace has a few sellers.

And, being Amazon, the page also has: "Customers Viewing This Page May Be Interested in These Sponsored Links". Their three chosen sponsored links are:
Magic Geek
Magic Books
and... Get Huge Weight Loss, blast away a stone in 14 days!

Now, does Amazon know more than it should about me? Or is there a general unspoken need amongst the magic fraternity to Get Huge Weight Loss?

Phooey. I'm still in too much of a party mood and willing to throw money about recklessly.

Have just found and grabbed "Absolute Magic" from an eBay seller for £100 even (plus postage). Which is sort of a bargain, relatively speaking, but I'm dead meat when the next bank statement arrives.

Could've got it five pounds cheaper, brand new from International Magic!

It was just £80 a few weeks back from there.

Double phooey, then. I didn't think it was available from any standard suppliers at this late date.

Quick look at International Magic... Oh, I don't feel so bad. The book is £95 there now, and their postage is higher than Mr eBay's, so in fact I've managed to get it slightly cheaper overall. Hooray!

This still doesn't stop me from getting in serious trouble when it arrives.
