It was an enjoyable show. Hints of Derren (experienced a few bouts of deja vu), thought the Aled Jones went on a bit too long for my liking, but the shock moment of the cross being revealed was fantastic.

Still, I have to ask...

4 of Clubs?

No idea about the 4 of clubs, I've just always used that card!

With relation to Aled jones I must apologise - the tech team were meant to use that part to clear the stage, not check me out. I don't know if you saw me keep motioning to them to f off ;)

I hope you liked 'clue-dunnit' though, i do like that routine! Especially with 'top heavy' Mary and 'lighting cat reflexes' terry!

I'm very happy that you liked the cross revalation though! I may have gone too far with it, I know the poor girls friends were fuming! But the plan was always to push the boundaries and see what I could get away with :)

either way I hope it was worth your ten pounds!

Love

Chris

The girls friends were sat right in front of me. They looked really worried for her.

The audience reaction during that whole bit was incredible. You could cut the tension with a knife, was great looking round and seeing the expressions on peoples faces.

One of the psychology lecturers from uni had a massive grin on his face!

I'm guessing you don't know Mnemonica then! If you did then 4 of Clubs would mean something a bit special and useful.

Haha - my boyfriend's most commonly thought of card is the four of clubs. Wonderfully useful.

Mr Beard chose a lady from the audience, had her come up to the stage. Tied her to a cross and put a black bag on her head and then shoved a large needle through each of her arms.

Always the way old bean, the effect that you think'll blow their wigs off is the one that leaves them cold and vice versa... I wonder if it's a subconcious presentation thing? Like your anticipation of a response makes it an anti climax or something like that...
Then again maybe it's just the magician vs layperson perspective of tricks.

Anywho congratulations on what sounds like a spiffing gig!
