In hospital

Postby Robbie » Aug 15th, '09, 21:46

Was admitted to Bolton hospital today with a NAUGHTY NAUGHTY gallstone. They won't be able to do anything about it until Monday at the earliest.

Luckily, my bedside TV includes internet, so I can keep in touch with the TM crowd, at any rate. I don't have access to my other "family" at Disturbing Auctions -- apparently they block sites classified as "tasteless". (So I'm not sure how TM is getting through.)

Yeah, get well soon, Robbie. I hope they remove the pesky bu**er as quickly and as painlessly as possible.

After that, they can start on the gallstone. Ba-dum tish! (Sorry, just trying to cheer you up). 8)

*snerk*
Apparently they're going in through the mouth. Bingo that as you will.

I'm not allowed to have the whole darn gallbladder out yet because it's too inflamed. Right now they'll just be fishing for the one stone that's causing the immediate mischief.

I just mentioned your suggestion to Colin. He says "shut up, Iain".

Had a scan today. Two big stones and probably some little 'uns. The one that was causing the immediate trouble seems to have got bored and wandered away on its own. So I'm no longer yellow, anyway. Don't know yet whether they will be sending me home or keeping me in.

In the meantime, Col has brought me something to read: today's paper (with the crossword already filled in) and 13 Steps.
