Ok. So i remember years ago (15 yrs?) my father buying me all sorts of magic shop tricks. One of my favorite ones was these two substances you put on your fingers, thumb and middle. When you snapped the two fingers it flashed like a match would.

One of the substances was brownish red. I think very likely being Red Phosphorus. The other I'm not so sure about, maybe sulfur?

Anyways i need help figuring out what this trick was, and where i could buy it these days. For some reason the name "Snap Flash" is stuck in my head...

I contemplated getting them a while back but it would add nothing to my magic, though it is available cheaply

it's neither of the above.And i dont think it's available any more.

I bought a similar effect many moons ago, from davenports magic. It came in two small test tube type dispensers one a red clay type and another a white crystal substance. place a small ammount on the second finger tip and thumb (one on each finger), click your fingers and..... crack/flash!

Very closely followed by swearing, waving of hand and running for a source of running cold water!!!

perhaps i over did it but it was warning enough. never seen anything like it since.

Thats it. Yeah i do think it was pretty volatile if you went overboard, ha. Well i hope someone knows where it can be found out there...

A good friend of mine put himself in hospital with this stuff. Probably best to avoid it and find a safer effect.
