have you seen the new o2 cash manager card adverts?they are very good. i just have a feeling people will assume its camera tricks

(who is in it, and what was the order of effects during the shoot, because some of it appears to be backwards.)

There's at least one cut, which was glaringly obvious when I saw it just now. I think it is a mix of 'real' magic (the first couple of changes look like sleight of hand with possibly a slight bit of gimmicking) and editing.

ah, but if they filmed it against a green screen, all the ditches and loads could of been done in one.
you have unseen helpers taking things away.
and since the shirt was produced without a wrinkle, i do wonder if its been shown backwards.

I think people on the street would probably just dismiss it as special effects anyway, so if any of it is decent sleight of hand, it was probably a waste of time.

to be honest, i think there were a couple of edits...and if you've got helpers, then its not really "doing it for real" in a sleight of hand way...

it looks good though, and a lot more enjoyable than most ads... :D

It was dynamo who worked on some of the magic bits for the ad also it was story-boarded by Scott Penrose MIMC and director Rupert Jones.

there at least two ads in the campaign

the two people in the adverts are The Magic Circle member Brendan Patricks, and Billy Kidd (who was trained by world famous street magician - gazzo )

This was the guy who was the wedding magician in Gavin & Stacey if I remember correctly.

I vaguely saw the one with the guy last night, out of the corner of my eye. To be honest, I didn't think "magic", but then I wasn't paying much attention.

The only bit I really saw was him waving an O2 card around, so since I have no interest in O2 I went back to what I was doing. Which shows the company has a flaw somewhere in their ad strategy -- they can't engage the interest of a non-customer who is strongly interested in advertising.
