Vanish Anything Help Please!

Hey all
The title say's it all I want the trick

I bought Gecko but it didn't suite my needs.
Raven is to hard to master.

What other product (especially with a gimick that could be done at home) can you all suggest.

thanks, Greets

'Raven is too hard to master'... Seriously? Do you not have hands or something? (If so typing this was very impressive).

In all honestly assuming you genuinely can't master raven then I don't think there's any product or move out there for you. And I'm not saying that to be a dick I'm being truthful, raven is the most simple.

Invoke not reason. In the end it is too small a deity.

I think lexer just means it can be a bit clunky with the get ready and the conceal.

Maybe. I dont know. I bought one but only used it a couple of times.

Correct me if im wrong but isnt there the Tarantula now too?
Dunno what that's like.

Im of the opinion disappearing something is only half the trick.
With the Raven you couldnt bring it back so it felt incomplete.

I don't think there is a particular device or method that could vanish any and everything you wished but there are plenty of things that will vanish specific items. Was there something you especially desired to make disappear or were you hoping for something that you could use on anything close to hand? If you could narrow down what you were planning on vanishing, we might be able to come up with a solution for you.

My first suggestion is that you spend the next couple of years learning ALL levels of slight-of-hand technique for every conceivable type of object e.g. you need to know coins, cards, balls, cigarettes and everything in between large & small as well as ways for ditching & stealing no matter what you're wearing.

You may want to spend a few month hanging with Geatton Blume (sp) as well in that he's a master Sleever... I actually saw him sleeve a full bottle of champagne one night at the Castle.

Gimmicks are all very limited, even a $3,000.00 Hold Out can only do so much so the best thing you can do is learn how to use your hands...

 Before you say your hands are too small, chubby, stubby fingers, etc. you might want to catch footage of Kalanag doing his Billiard Ball routine. The man had very short, fat fingers and yet he was exceptionally elegant, learning how work WITH his "handicap" rather than making excuses to not do something.

Yes, it's a challenge... a royal pain in the tukkis.

No, there is not assurance that you'll be able to "vanish everything" but there is a guarantee that you will be able to do a heck of a lot more, any time and any where than you can do right now or with ANY mechanical system.

Resources for learning such mechanics?

I'd start with the old Jeff McBride Manipulation videos, they are quite good for learning the basics.

The Bill Tarr books "Now You See It, Now You Don't" are likewise excellent and easy to learn from

I know that there are other specialty books and DVDs out there these days but I'm far removed from that side of the craft, thus I cannot fill you in. But then if you are serious about your goal, you'll find it on your own

Craig mentions Gaten Bloom, And his sleeving prowess.

Rocco. The man can sleeve water! ( search out on line for his performance in the worlds greatest magic. he pops corn in his bare hands!!)

But for good, solid practical 100% effective advice on the art, then you absolutly must start with David Berglas.

His chapter in art of close up magic volume 2...( or is it 1, i forget... heck get them both ) Is worth it's weight in gold a million times over.

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....

I can understand the confusion, because acording to the H.P wikki page the vanishment spell is

Evanesco

A word dangerously close to our dear own miss snuff.

What, no mention of the most useful spell: Forgeticus?

As in: 'About last night Ron... Forgeticus!' (courtesy of Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier)
