What is Magic (David Blaine Special)

If anyone saw this, i was wonder what the trick was called where he drew three "x's" on a spectators hand, around a quarter, then rubbed them off with his finger, then they appeared under the coin.

Looked awesome!

I dont think exile is a particularly practical effect if im honest!! I bought it, used it real world once then banished it to ebay because it wasnt commercial or practical enough.

I agree with Mark I worked this at home for many many MANY hours (as one should) even created my own additional gimmick to instantly reset the trick from the pocket (those who know will understand that) then after a while I realised i was breaking my fundamental new rules on magic...

Great visual trick but it's just not for me.

I still bought it though! Doh!

I do eXiles, although it's a little more 'street style' than I usually do. It works fine for me, but rather than use it at every table or with every group, I tend to do it just a couple of times for the largest groups I can put together.
A nice way into it is to pick on a guy with tattoos.

BTW, the version where you draw the 'prediction' on your own hand is the only practical one, unless you're shooting a TV special.
Also, in terms of the gimmick, it pays to use a fountain pen rather than a felt tip. When I realised those two things, it started working for me.

We have told you what it is called. I have offered a bit more info to Rob as he is a long standing member of the community. You currently have a total of 17 posts. When I see some valuable contributions from yourself then I would be happy to give you more details on certain aspects of magic.
