Out of interest, is anyone else at TM going to TAM London?

I'm along; not to the comedy though. I have it on very good authority that Robin Ince is a nice chap, but his stand-up leaves me cold.

I do need a date for the main event though.

Then, Mr Guinness and Mr Mr_Grue I will try to spot you and, if I do, pounce on you with chat; like a lion bringing down a gazelle using a sudden conversation about turnover passes. To give you a sporting chance of escape, though, I think I might wear my TM badge, so you can see me coming.

As for Abby, I'm down on the Friday evening so, if you're around, we could possibly have a quick drink and a catch up even though you're not going to TAM.

George Hrab is trying to sort a venue for a gig on the Friday night. If people are interested that may be as good a place as any for a drink as there will also be a load of attendees I'd say.

I'll be the drunk one with a bottle of whiskey in one hand and a deck of cards in the other in all likely hood!

Tss. TM isn't sending me the new posts alerts, yet again. I just dropped by on the off chance that TM hadn't been sending me the new post alerts, yet again.

So: goodo, Abby, and yes, Mr Guinness, a Hrab gig site might be a pretty meeting point. Though, for my sake, and I'm guessing for Abby's too, it'd need to be reasonably, Strand-area-ish, central or the logistics becoming time-consuming and pesky.

[quote="A J Irving"]There appears to be TAM competition now: Uri Geller's TIM: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_RQjQvxtmK8A/Srvn5c1F3_I/AAAAAAAAB4o/aGx35GADNao/s1600-h/TIM+London.png

Nyuk - splends. Though, possibly, The Irrational Tryst might be a better name. Also, I bet Miyuki Hatoyama will be flying in for it; in some manner of craft.

Nice photos. I thought it (TAM) was utterly, utterly ace, by the way. I'd assumed it'd be interesting, but was surprised at how entertaining it was too. The one pity was that there was so much going on that there wasn't any time to sit down for a quiet hour or so, Mr Grue and Mr Guinness, and discuss things magical. Some other time perhaps.

Also, Mr Grue, Robin Ince turned out to be really good. You might remember that as we strolled elegantly down a corridor lined on both sides by people doing things on their iPhones, you said you weren't going to the comedy evening because Ince didn't ignite your world, and I replied that I'd never been that fussed about him either but was going for the evening as a whole. Well, as it happened, he was very funny and engaging. The other acts were of variable quality, but his bits were consistently enjoyable.

I shall have to give him a third chance then. :)

There's criticism elsewhere that the event was a bit too talk led, and there wasn't enough time to actually meet people and ting. Hope that's something they take on board in the future.

I wonder who the other two people were that laughed at Wiseman's TT reference...
