Deck Production?

Postby chrisli » Oct 13th, '09, 09:51

Hey, i was just wondering if anybody knows a good production of whole deck of cards, because i would really like to learn one as an opening effect instead of just pulling a deck out your pocket or whatever. I'm not sure if anything like this even exists, i've done a search and have come up with nothing. Closest thing i found was jeff mcbrides cards from mouth but I'm not sure if that would be possible with a whole deck.

do you want to produce it boxed?

( avoid cards from mouth which uses a full deck, if you want to use the things afterwards.

They get covered with saliva, and stick together.. And people find it repulsive)

Paul Harris has two or three in The Art of Astonishment - including one where the deck is initially in two halves, and is screwed together much like a snooker cue.

Your reality, sir, is lies and balderdash, and I'm delighted to say that I have no grasp of it whatsoever.

david regal has an effect where by you construct an empty box, then remove the deck from it.
Sudden deck.

there is sudden deck2 available as well, in which the case starts off blank, then prints it's self, then you produce the deck.

I saw a clip of David Stone's flash production, it's ... flashy :)

Cheers

I've got a production that I use where the deck is plucked out of the air. I don't know if it's taught as is anywhere as it's something that I came up with myself by just have a think about how you'd produce a coin from the air and then think about how to adapt that idea to something bigger.

sheet of newspaper. empty both sides.

lay it on the table.

craftily pick up the cards from your lap, rip open the paper to reveal the cards. there you go.

A little different and maybe not what your looking for but I have a production where you produce the pack from a spectators jacket pocket...

But the spectator removes the deck.

If your interested then drop me a pm for details.

Joel.
