I was just wondering what people hear use as far as orgainising bookings, meetings etc.

Whether anyone uses any kind of specialist computer programme, outlook calender, diary or a good old fashioned pen and calendar?

How does one go about making sure you dont forgot about a booking when it is sometimes more than a year or two before. For example I have a query for June 2012.

I just use a diary as well as a calendar on my wall at home. Anything that's for a date outside my diary just gets jotted down in the back. Nothing complicated here...

I have a Microsoft Access database that I use for creating contracts and I use Outlook for bookings, synced with my phone as a backup.

I use a good old pen and diary, and i also have everything on my mobile phone so if i get and enquiry when im working or out and about i can check if i am free.

And i get everyone that confirms a booking to send me and email of confirmation with all the details of the event. Then i print them of and keep them in order for my records and so i can check them if i need anything.

Hope this helps.

I use pen and filofax diary...once its penciled in and deposit paid, it goes on to my blackberry and onto my email reminder. This then sends me an email the day before the event to remind me of what it is etc, and also on the morning of the event. Then the wife does all the paper work etc

Filofax.

I also have Lotus Organiser (still) on the PC. There has never been a piece of software to match it yet, and of course it produces pages for the real-world filofax.

A) My website.
B) A diary
C) If it is in advance I stick it on my white board in my room.

I use my outlook calendar/blackberry calendar...however I have a binder with twelve month dividers and when I get my signed contract returned it goes into the month in question. If it is a couple years in advance, it doesn't matter...it can still go in the month and then when I clean out the current month it stays in for another year.

Use a notepad with backup on the phone and internet... I have always backed things up both digitally and physically just incase anything goes wrong.
