Postby jameswild » Oct 31st, '09, 12:59

hi all, i'd like a little advice on coin shells.

I'm looking at getting another couple of half dollar shells.
what is the best make? as the one i have seems very loose.

what good books (not interested in dvds) are there on sleights and tricks with shells? (i've got bobo's book)

also anybody use magnetic shells? are they usefull...just looking for general advise.

thanks in advance for your answers,
james

Lassen or schoolcraft without doubt make the best shells. Hands down.

Is it a US 1/2 dollar shell...if you are investing in another one, would you be interested in selling/trading for the one you already have if you find it too loose?

I am assuming it is an expanded shell? Does it look good...just not functionally what you wanted?

Let me know.

I find Tango's shells to work fine for me, the spectator is not going to handle them so I don't find looseness to be a problem. If you have the cash then I highly recommend a Triple Threat Gimmick, I believe World Magic Shop sell them. Chris Congreave and gary Jones have a DVD called Flying Tonight, which has a routine called expensive fly, which uses that gimmick very very well!
