Who has access to the Restricted Area?
Lets do a vote.
I don't have access :(

EDIT:
I'm not asking for access.

Be patient. There is more than enough to read and learn on these forums without having access the the restricted areas.

AJ speaks the truth. Also, and with respect, you only have 33 posts to date. Although access to the restricted area is not based on numbers of posts, 33 is not really high enough to form a valid opinion on whether someone is a suitable candidate. Enjoy the forums for the time being, make some decent contributions and you never know. The mods are always watching and listening.... Image

I believe the actual ratio of permitted members to blocked members is restricted information.

However, feel free to write down your best guess, seal it in an envelope, hand it to a trusted referee and await enlightenment. :)

Hmmm... first, did you read all those rules, regs and what to expect things before you signed on?

Are you aware that this IS NOT and exposure group?

Are you aware of the fact that very few forums allow people access to the "secrets" areas until they've made X number of posts (which, sadly results in tons of stupid one line posts just so immature newbies and get the post count up... our moderators tend to look at quality posts and content however; who gives and shares vs. the takers).

BTW... the magic world is based on the idea of SECRECY and for that reason true magicians and magic lovers will make it as inconvenient as possible to keep information out of the hands of any random passer-by as well as those schmucks that think it's cool to expose this and that material when they have no legal or ethical right to it nor have they "earned" said rights via acts of contribution, reputation and longevity in and around the craft. Even with all these factors Magic is far too easy for people to learn about now days and too, far too much is being exposed by countless idiots that have no respect for it or the people that contribute to it. Fortunately this is something in the process of changing and you'll find discovery of method, etc. becoming more and more restricted; especially when it comes to the more deceptive and "impossible" aspects of said technology.

The moral of the story is, be patient as well as respectful. Actually PARTICIPATE in the forum in ways that are constructive (not constantly asking "how"... but NOT giving away methods that aren't yours to share either). Believe it or not you can actually discuss many things about this craft without getting into method... then too, knowing the mechanics of an effect DOES NOT mean you know how to do it (think long and hard on that one)

Don't forget to include the necessary backhander, at the moment the going rate is about £250.00.....

As a Poll is pointless but takes up valuable forum space, it's been removed. If anyone wants to know how many people have access to the Magicians Only Area and the Mentalists Only Area, it's easy enough to do a head count. Of course, as the total membership is, at the time of writing, just over 14,600 you'd need to know how many are active, how many have never posted and so on - not so easy to calculate.

Requires making constructive posts to show that you're knowledgeable in magic?

That can't be right... they let me in

Sorry, I wasn't complaining about not having access. I was merely wondering how many people had access. Also I never said anything about exposure.
And I was not saying that I wanted access as I don't think I have contributed enough either.
