first look at handout 500

Postby naychandler1 » Dec 2nd, '09, 21:21

okay, well i recieved my dvd of steve hayes hand out 500. i must admit ive only watched it once through last night, but this is just my first insight on the effect for any of you guys who were wondering to pick it up.

first the effect.
Steve Haynes’ Handout Five Hundred starts off like all the other wonderful versions of Pat Page’s Easy Money: you display four or five single dollar bills, then in a flash the one’s visibly change into hundreds.

The big handout happiness is that you can now immediately hand out all of the hundreds for examination!

If you’ve performed other versions you’ve probably heard that little voice in your head saying, “Boy…, it sure would be sweet to hand out all the hundreds at the end…, and not have to deal with hanging onto that thick gaffed bill.”

With Hayne’s Hand-Out 500, that little voice is joyously silent as you naturally and cleanly hand out all the hundreds to your spectator!

No palming, no pulls, no complicated moves. The audience simply sees you change the ones into hundreds and place them onto the spectator’s hand. All of the hundreds are completely normal ..., so there’s nothing to find but pure astonishment!

Even without the glorious hand-out ending…, Steve’s radically new gimmick would still make this the bill change of choice. Handout 500 is actually easier and safer to handle than previous versions. There are no bad angles. You never have to worry about your audience seeing any extra thickness!

And for the final big hunk of Haynes hand-out happiness: because of the unique construction of the gimmick you save hundreds of dollars in gaffed bills. It’s a whole now approach to easy money. The first real game changer for bill changers!

this effect is genious, it really is, and even after watching how it works it still makes you believe that what he is doing is very real :)

the gimmick.
okay the construction of the gimmick.....im not gonna lie but this is quite time consuming and tricky.when i was viewing the dvd when the gimmick was being made
my heart slightly sank, and to be honest i think it may have put me off a little and i think others may also be slightly cheesed.but after watching further into the dvd , you relise that this is really an amazing effect and the gimmick will always be on your person. so it really is worth it!!!

one of the main reasons i posted this very basic review up was to say that for UK magicians, this is not going work how you see it...biiiiiggggg dissapointment!!! well for me. this could of been the most astonishing casual/ bar/pub effect ever. imagine just whipping out 5 lots of fiver's and then in a flash turning them into 5 10's and then spending one at the bar.but this effect relies heavily on SAME SIZED BILLS which we all know uk currency are all different sizes.unlike US bills.... how un cool would it be standing in a bar with your mates taking out 5 US dollars and turning them in to a larger numeracy of dollar?!?! it makes no sence.. you would want to use uk currency wouldnt you if you as in the uk.
BUT if you like the idea of turning paper into money or visa versa than this would work a treat. but this is not really what i wanted to acchieve. im going to do some research to see if there are any euros which are the same size as uk currency.to figure around this problem....... this is tooo much of a good effect to not to..

anyone have any ideas????

Tried Greed by Danial Garcia; that can work with British money and to be honest it looks more skillful when viewed. This trick looks kinda easy because it seems "gimmicked", Greed is much more like "Seriously mate... thats some awesome Sleight of Hand :D".

Hi there;

it looks similar to richard Sanders' Extreme burn which is also very visual

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6dUhbmX ... re=related

In the lineage of Patrick Page easy money I think.

I have extreme burn; one way to get around the GBP, EUR etc.. size problem is to change blank paper or magazine cut outs into money, which I think is pretty cool as well.

You can explain that you like to hide your money away in plain sight and change it when you need it. Or you can tell people that if you were a real magician, you wouldn't be working in bars doing card tricks, you'd make money appear from thin air.

Not sure if the method for Handy 500 lands itself to that ploy?
