I've been reading lots of old threads on this site regarding Coin Unique and similar coin sets. The fact that Eddie Gibson no longer makes Coin Uniques aside from the £1/1p saddens my heart. I intend to mainly use a Gibson £1/1p, but I'd also like two other coin sets, just to add some variety. I guess 2p/10p and whatever the other one is that used to be around - I forget now, but one of the coins is a £2. In fact, I have it lying around somewhere, though it's not a Gibson.
So.. I've read whatever old threads I can find but I can't find a definitive answer to this question: ***Who makes the second best sterling coin gimmicks at present?*** And where can I buy them from?
Sites like penguinmagic have some of these coins but many such sites don't even tell you who made the coins!
While we're at it, does anyone on here know Mr Gibson personally? In another post someone suggested that someone should ask Mr Gibson to make a special batch that those of us who desparately want these coins can buy them between us. But how many coin sets of a particular kind would Mr Gibson need to make for it to be worth his while? Ten? Several hundred?
Any help appreciated.
