Hi!
I have read the book "Gary Plants on the Zarrow Shuffle" and I like it very much.
Now I have a question about the handling:
- First there is the separation of the two packages. Top half is going to the right, bottom half is going to the left.
- Then riffling together.
- Now the bottom half (under the break) is going to the right, top half to the left.
- Riffling together.
- Finally cutting the bottom half (under the break) to the top.
- Cards are restored in original order.
Why doesn't he do it this way:
- First there is the separation of the two packages. Top half is going to the left, bottom half is going to the right.
- Then riffling together.
- Now the bottom half (under the break) is going to the right, top half to the left.
- Riffling together.
- Cards are restored in original order.
So the last cutting action is not needed.
Is the handling from Gary more deceptive with the final cut / first taking the top half to the right and on the second riffle taking the bottom half to the right?
Any other reason?
