I used to have a very bad addiction to chocolate, which I still fight all the time

I had to take part in an experiment where we get given chocolate

"excellent" I thought, "free chocolate!"

They gave me one small galaxy bar to eat in front of them.....lush.....

And then gave me a whole bag of chocolate...even better

I now have to carry this bag with me for the next 24 hours, and not eat any of it!

damn...I can still taste that bloody chocolate...

Nah, this was just the standard degree. I was in a PhD experiment afterwards, with slot machines, patterns and gambling!

That was a frustrating one...

Ah It's easy.

I love chocolate.. Simply love it.

But Ive made a decision to only ever eat GOOD chocolate. That being chocolate with a hight Cacao content.

the reason being, High quality chocolate coats the mouth better, and you eat less.
Plus being good chocolate, it contains a higher amount of Antioxidants, and less fat and sugar. It is actually good for you.. in moderation .
cheap chocolate has too much fat, too much sugar, and is often so low in Cacao, as to not officaily called chocolate.

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....

I could show you a much faster and completely painless way to get over a chocolate addiction.

You've reminded me, Dale - time for my daily dose of 72%. It aggravates my rhinitis so I have to strictly ration myself!

It varies depending on where you are. I have to do 12 hours worth over 2 years. I heard a rumour that cardiff has to do 80 hours over one year, though I can't confirm it

Maybe your have 150 hours a year ;)

The Open University is a bit more leisurely. I studied for six years at 60 "points" a year -- four for the degree and another two for the honours courses. I was working full-time as well, though.

That's not counting a year off somewhere around the middle, when I had to drop a probability and statistics course very quickly because I couldn't understand a word of it!

Ah statistics...I had a stats exam the other day

I though it went really well and was rather pleased...but then I worked out (using statistics ;)) that it was worth about a quarter of a percent of my entire degree, which was a bit of a bummer...

I stopped pretty much all magic at uni, it was either that or not study for a degree...of which I got a 2:1 yey...be careful dont over do it Beardy. You can always do Magic, you might not get another oppuntunity to do a degree.

The one I dropped was a prob & stats course for mathematicians, and a lot more high-powered than I expected. I managed to blag my way through the first unit, and then collapsed completely.

The following year I enrolled in a gentler version, applied prob & stats for science and social science, and that was much better.

I have a lot of respect for people that complete OU degree's. I have looked at them in the past and just sit there thinking "I am basically going to have to give up my life in order to keep working and pass this degree". I just think I would get distracted by something shiny while studying and it would never get done!

You'd be surprised how little magic I do at Uni! I'm much too busy "partying down" instead...
