Anti slush powder

Is there anything that will turn liquid that's been "slushed" back into liquid again? I'm guessing probably not, but just thought I'd ask...

What do you mean by slushed? As in, like, slushy snow slush or slush like a slush puppy?

Now I don't know alot about slush powder but that stuff you get for kids baths that turns it into a jelly bath is starched based, (basicly it's coloured wallpaper paste) has a powder with it that turns it back to water so you can empty the bath. Is slush powder starched based? I thought it was more along the lines of what's in babies nappies.

The right Rev is correct. There is a bath product that turns your bath waters to a jelly like substance and then once you have finished washing your bits then you add a second powder that un-jellifies the water

I am not sure how solid the gel becomes although this could be a matter of the powder to water ratio used

It`s actually easy....Just use salt. If you put salt in it, it turns to liquid again. But you have to experiment a little bit. It doesn`t work so good if there is too much slush powder inside it.

Now you mention it I'm quite sure that the extra packet in the bath stuff is mainly salt.

Thanks - just checked and lots of salt works and quickly turns it back to water (although admittedly quite murky salty water!).

Incidently, a great slush powder resource (and I know I've mentioned this before but there's an exciting update...) - hospitals use slush powder to make various gross bodily fluids a little less horrible for nurses to deal with. They come in little packets which I posted about a while back, but what I didn't realise is this: the packets are dissolvable. You don't actually have to open the sachet, you just bung the whole thing in and like a dishwasher tablet it quickly dissolves, releasing the slush powder.

I don't use slush powder much, but for those that do, this has got to be far better than the intricate methods of concealing stapled playing card pockets full of slush powder, leaking out everywhere etc! Nothing to ditch afterwards.

Sounds nicer than the old deodorised sawdust I remember the school janitor having to sprinkle on the occasional "protein leak" in the corridors.
