) and I have always lurked on this forum, so thought that I may as well bite the bullet and join, and give something back to all of you!
Let me tell you about me
My name is Anna, and I am 20. I first got into magic in my early teens, before enjoying the aspect of mind reading (or "mentalism"). I perform it regularly now, getting regular jobs, and do consider myself to be pretty good at it. I like to perform a mixture of other people's effects and my own, some of which I am very proud of.
Inspirations include Derren Brown and Andy Nyman (those guys have IMAGINATION!), and Banachek.
Books and DVDs that I have read or owned include the immortalised 13 steps to mentalism, annamann, furves, all of Paul Brook's books so far, and even Naked Mentalism, who I believe the author is on this forum? It is amazing! I use the stuff in it all the time! I also have smaller things like psychological subtleties 1 2 and 3, the psi series, and banachek's muscle reading book.
I have other interests besides mind reading and performing, including cooking (Heston Blumenthal is GENIUS!), writing and psychology (of which I am currently doing a degree).
I also love certain items of jewellary, and am thinking of getting my ears pierced (I know! a girl who hasn't got her ears pierced!)
I think that is me really; I can't think of much else to say, apart from that hope to be able to do lots of stuff on here! This is the first forum I have joined, so I hope I haven't done anything wrong by putting details on here. I read the rules, but I don't know how much non-magic stuff I can say
