I thought that I would post this thread as there are several on the subject of Blackpool but nothing directly asking this question.

Are there TMrs going to Blackpool who would like to make arrangements to meet up?

As a Blackpool virgin I know that I would like to have some contact with people who I "know" via this forum and just wondered if there were any others wanting to do this.

Mandrake suggested in another thread that we PM mobile numbers amongst ourselves as a way of communicating when we are there. This seems like a pretty good idea to me.

So, I look forward to seeing some replies and some sort of get organised together being planned.

As was mentioned somewhere else, the crowded timetable makes it difficult to set a time and place which would suit all to meet up except perhaps after hours. Would it be of help to open a thread in the Magicians Only Area to post mobile phone numbers where TXT messages could be used to advise activities and potential meeting times? I realise not everyone is in the Magicians Only Area but those who aren't could ask a Mod to post their numbers if that helps.

I guess the best time to all try and meet would be early evening in the Ruskin?

The convention would be finished and everone would be waiting for the drinking to commence

I'm going along on the Saturday and staying Saturday night. I'd love to meet up with some TMers as I'm on my lonesome and will otherwise feel like a bit of a lemon come Saturday night! I don't have access to the magicians only area.

I'm there Friday PM until Monday morning. And I'm determined not to buy ANYTHING (apart from food and beer). We shall see...

I arrive around lunchtime on Friday. I expect to buy far to much of everything especially beer! I just don't see any time in the programme for actually eating food!
