I love the way they show it at such an accessible time. I should really purchase some sort of recording device to replace the video that's not been used since 2001...

Ahh I just wasted the best part of half an hour downloading it.

I thought it was the very cool and far superior Victorian parlour seance with the Losander table. Imagine my surprise when it turned out to be the older show with the incongruent geek tricks (walking on glass, Blockhead, etc.).

That's what I thought the Gathering was. I was pleasantly surprised when I watched it the other day and found it was one I had never seen before.

Very chuffed... but what was the seance one called?

Nope, the one that Tomo's talking about, is evening of wonders. That's the show Derren did the tables, and the oracle act. :)
Seance was just that. A seance.

That's the chappie. By far the best show he's done on TV. It had a strong central theme and, for me at least, worked a lot better than Brown rushing about all over the stage.

I agree, Evening Of Wonders was a great show.

I really didn't like 'Something Wicked...' - I don't associate blockhead and glass walking with Derren.. I remember watching all that with the Jim Rose Circus Sideshow :-)

However - Enigma might prove to be the best yet...

Oooh - in fact I just checked on the C4 website. And in the 'On Demand' section you can watch ALL of the DB specials (Seance, Messiah, The Heist, The System, The Gathering, Russian Roulette,etc...)

We only possess one video, our wedding video.

My wife would be none too please if I recorded Derren Brown over it!

Why's that? :D

Nah, was just pointing out that as "time shifting" becomes more popular, scheduling becomes less important. The ease with which people can use PVRs and the image quality you get with digital-based recording means that channels are more likely to put shows on at odd times, knowing that certain demographics won't blanch from recording them.
