Barring last-minute calamity, I'm finally away tomorrow for a bit of gallbladder snippage. This is the third time it's been scheduled, so let's hope it's lucky!

I've got my cuddly gallbladder to keep me company in hospital. He's MUCH friendlier than the real one has turned out to be.

They may keep me in overnight, and I might well not be up to cruising the interwebs for a few days afterwards. So I'll see you lot in a while!

Back from hospital, minus gallbladder and plus four belly slits. Ow.

All went well. They kept me in overnight, and I was back home by 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Ibuprofen is taking the edge off, and keeping still helps. And not coughing.

Still very sore, a bit muzzy-headed, and inclined to feel sorry for myself.
