Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

I bet all of the street magicians like the fellow in the video say that the Indian rope trick was invented in their family!

James, 19, Lifelong student of magic and will carry on learning for the rest of my days if I'm a very lucky boy.

Has anyone seen this?
Hi Allen. There was a performance in Belfast, it may be the one you are reffering to. The clip is on youtube. Ive been trying to post a link to it for the past 20 mins, but for some reason my computer seems to be playing up, perhaps someone else will have better luck.
This thread has turned out to be very interesting indeed. I have been fascinated by this effect since i was a kid, seems im not alone :)

The Indian Rope Trick in full

Postby Allen Tipton » Feb 23rd, '10, 19:54

Thank you, Jim, for Belfast. I was sure it was Ireland.
Now with Ishamuddin performing it first followed by Hasan Khan (he is the one who claims his family invented it!!) Rajkumar of New Delhi performing it and I think others; it could become as common as the dove act, the zombie or cards from the air.
Do you think that Sam Dalal's factories are producing it???
All the ropes look similar.
