We wer not actually that botherd that they wer late just that the venue seemed to make the decision for them to be turned away without consulting us. (but it is rather rude to turn up late to a show, even if it is our own one lol)

Im glad you think that its rude to turn up late mate...

Its nothing to do with you or paul being bothered,

( in fact if anything it's about the audience who turned up on time being bothered.)

It just gives notice that they should arrive on time, and allow time to complete the journey

On the first seance, people arrived late... ( too late if you ask me) , and it kind of broke up the mood.

No theatre, profesional or otherwise will admit late commers, untill a suitable break in the show.

And Thats me speaking... with my lord knows how many years experience as front of house manager, in both a profesional, and as a volunteer capacity. :)

What i would be tempted to sugest is, if you have people ariving late, and you dont mind, let Tredwells, who are your front of house staff, know that you dont mind....

The venu was probably thinking that they were doing this with your best interests .

Yes I understand it adds an heir of professionalism to it, and your right the last time it did kill the mood having to repeat what they had missed.

Yes, I'll add something to the confirmation email along the lines of no admission 10 minutes after performance starts, no refund, etc.

Have a good one though!
