The Real Mentalist, London, March 13th - SPECIAL OFFER!

Postby themagicwand » Feb 28th, '10, 21:37

The Real Mentalist show at Treadwells, Covent Garden, London on Saturday 13th March with me and Chris Carter. In order to generate some interest in the night, we've dropped the price of tickets for TM members from £18 right down to £10. This means we'll probably be operating close to break even point, but I'd rather do this than have to cancel (been a bit too much of that going on around these here parts alately). With 2 weeks to go we've sold the princely total of 0 tickets. Boo hoo.

So if you're interested in attending, drop me a PM and I can organise you're reduced ticket prices.

Full info on the night is at www.voodiniandcarter.co.uk but remember to PM me rather than purchasing the tickets from the site - that way you get your tickets for less.

Thanks for the kind words F. If there's no interest by next weekend I'll just bung a cut price Jack the Ripper night in instead. That always sells well. Shame though. I was trying desperately to step out of the seance room and get a breath of fresh air!

It's beginning to feel that way.

Approaching noon on day one. Still no tickets sales. I will keep you informed. Ooh, could be quite exciting this.

2pm, day one. Ticket sales = 0.

If no tickets sales by 10am tomorrow (designated day two), then event will be cancelled and people will get their money back. Oh wait, nobody has bought any tickets for me to give money back too!

The tension builds...

Really to sorry to hear you've not sold any tickets yet mate. I would love to come but I have spent all my brownie points getting agreement for Tabula Mentis, which reminds me I must buy the bloody tickets already. :?

To be honest I wouldn't ;) but my wife has heard of Banacek (oh the guy from Mindfreak?) so see's it as a valuable investment of my time and money.

It's all about branding!

EDIT FOR UPDATE:
5:10pm. Still 0 tickets sold. Have emailed businesses in Covent Garden area offering cheap tickets. Have emailed Davenports & International Magic. Have emailed Gordon bloody Brown. We shall see.

Talked to the nice lady at Treadwells who has advised me to "hang in there" and she'll pass the word on to some people she knows.

Could the tension ratchet any higher? I think not.

9.10am Day Two. With 50 minutes remaining before THE BIG DECISION, the question is: has anyone bought any tickets? Have Davenports bought a block booking and saved the day? Did any of the Covent Garden businesses take advantage of the special staff discounts on offer? Did anyone from TM decide to "give it a go"?

In 50 minutes, all will be revealed. Ooh-er.
