Having never been to this before, I was wondering what the traders prices are like.

Do they do special deals or cheaper prices?
Are the prices the same?
Do they up the prices?

I'm wondering whether to make a list of what I like or whether to make sure I have a lot of cash with me.

No special prices, no upped prices, often new releases and effects, but no bartering, no freebies, no prizes, no giveaways, no incentives.

New releases are rarely at a discount but you might get bargains on older items. Sometimes there are lower prices for bundles of DVDs but no guarantees. Occasionally on the last day some items may be lowered in price to move them on instead of packing them up and taking them back, whether this year will be any different remains to be seen but you could always try haggling!

Yes, that's what I do. Make a list of anything that you either need replacing or like the look of & take that around with you. If possible also check online & compare prices, that way you know who to go to once you're there.

I'd also research all the performers, make a list of anyone you definitely want to see as the lectures can overlap.

Thridly, take a lot of cash with you. Some stalls do offer Debit/credit card machines but not all. There will also be things you've never heard of but will catch your eye so expect to spend more than you think.

I have never been to Blackpool convention as an adult (so we are talking a LOT of years) I don't have a weekend pass or ANY ticket for that matter, can I register on the day for a pass to just wander around the dealers stalls and if I can does this cost?
Newbie question I realise but I'm wondering if it's worth the journey...

They used to have day tickets available but there's no mention of them on the BMC site, just separate tickets for the Saturday and Sunday evening shows - perhap a call/e-mail to to Arthur Casson will help:

The Registration Desk is open on both Saturday and Sunday mornings which is strange if the only tickets on sale are three day tickets..... :?

You see! I'm not going mad! (please tell me I'm not!)
My work schedule means I can never commit to big events so far in advance so just turning up on the day - even if it is just to spend money with the dealers is all I can manage..
