street tricks

Postby jonathanr678 » Mar 4th, '10, 00:44

hi there

i need some help on the best way i could do a coin to a soda can trick out on the street. i was thinking about geting a coin and producing it in a can of pop that a spectator randomly and selects and producing it or producing a can from my shoe, which effect do you think would be more powerful?

1 can from my shoe
2 can selected and broght from a shop

I'd say it has to be a can bought direct from the shop.

Some specs will be very reluctant to join in with things produced from an entertainer's potentially sweaty and smelly shoe!

That's odd. I always call them gin and tonics.

And as for which effect is stronger, I'd go with the one that gets the best reactions. Seriously, that's the only way to tell. That said, if I were to do this, I'd probably vanish the coin, then have someone select the can from a shop of his or her choosing and produce the coin from there. Has a nice Robert-Houdin flavour.

Chin chin.

At least we haven't started calling them "soda" yet.

I am canadian so I call it Soda Pop!... Get over it.

Me personally I would second what he said vanish the coin then buy a can from the shop to show where its gone.

Yes here it is,

If memory serves he's taking an effect from the Art of Astonishment series here, PH did it with a rock, and making it his own.

Could be wrong, feel free to correct.

Grimshaw's right, the can in shoe is an altered version of Looy Simonoff's Earth Shoes (Rock in shoe) published in Art of Astonishment; a good place to start

not a fan of sigs, so I won't bother adding o..... oh
